Warzone 2 expert claims devs are “killing their game” with unbalanced weapons
IceManIsaac feels that the Warzone 2 devs are “killing their game” with poor gameplay designs, most specifically when it comes to weapon balancing.
Despite Resurgence returning and the Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded update bringing new content to the game, such as the Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle and Al Mazrah map changes, players across the community continue to express dissatisfaction with the game.
Now, with Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2’s Steam player count plummeting, Warzone expert IceManIsaac shared his thoughts on how the devs are “killing their game” with “brain dead gameplay design.”
IceManIsaac posted a clip of Warzone 2 on Twitter which shows him dying to an enemy using the Basilisk pistol in just two shots while having full health and shield. In the Tweet, IceManIsaac expresses frustrations with the devs, as he said “3+ years later and we still have secondary pistols that kill in two shots,” comparing the Basilisk’s 360ms TTK compared to the Lachmann Sub‘s 525ms.
The Warzone 2 expert then said that it’s “elementary mistakes” like the one shown in the video that make him think the devs will “never get it right.”
A user responds to the Tweet in the comments by claiming that it’s the dev’s “business model” which keeps interfering with the gameplay decisions.
However, the Warzone expert quickly replied in disagreement, “please don’t start with this ‘only care about the money’ talk. They’re literally killing their game in every way possible…their ‘business model’ has nothing to do with brain dead gameplay design.”
According to the Warzone content creator, their “Q1 earnings” will be very telling when it comes to how their game is performing against their “business model.”
This isn’t the first time that a community member like IceManIsaac has shared negative opinions about the dev’s gameplay decisions, as both JGOD and Dr Disrespect have also questioned the dev’s design choices.
Perhaps some major changes will be coming in Warzone 2 Season 3 to combat the declining playerbase. In the meantime, you can also check out how to get the CDL Twitch viewership rewards.
