Following the Season 4 Reloaded update, leakers found references that Modern Warfare 3 2023 could be revealed via a live event within Warzone 2.

While Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded were only recently released, the community has been impatiently looking forward to the Call of Duty 2023 title.

The latest rumors indicate that the title could be a sequel to Modern Warfare 2 released as a complete “new premium game” developed by the Sledgehammer Games team, with leaks suggesting it will be titled Modern Warfare 3.

At the moment, Activision have only confirmed that players can expect a “full premium release” by the end of the year.

Recently, after the Season 4 Reloaded update, leakers have found several references to content that could come to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 in the future, such as new celebrity collaborations, and most importantly, the reveal event of this year’s title.

Well-known leaker HeyImAlaix shared references to a “reveal event” for COD 2023 on Twitter after hints were found in the game’s files. This event, according to the files, could take place on the main Warzone 2 map Al Mazrah during Season 5, which is expected to drop in the first week of August.

Previously, an Insider Gaming report published by Tom Henderson leaked that the reveal plan for Modern Warfare 3 (2023) would include an “in-game live event” that would take place in August’s first week.

This wouldn’t be the first time a Call of Duty title has been revealed during a live event in Warzone. Previously, both Black Ops Cold War, developed by Treyarch, and Vanguard, the previous title developed by Sledgehammer Games, were officially revealed through in-game live events.

These live events consist of tasks that players must complete together in order to achieve, as a goal, the reveal of the new Call of Duty. In the case of Modern Warfare 3, this would be the first time that a Modern Warfare title is followed by another title in the same series.

Although nothing has been confirmed at the moment, the previous live in-game events have been highly successful, and the positive community feedback they received may influence the possibility of having a new one this year.
