Call of Duty: Warzone 2 brings a brand-new Interrogation system similar to Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite, offering players important information during matches. So, here’s how the new Warzone and DMZ Interrogation system works.

When Warzone 2 launched towards the end of 2022, it came with plenty of new features to set itself apart as a true sequel to the original game. Following a mixed response, many of these changes are being reverted in Season 2, such as how players access their loadouts, the return of 1v1 Gulags, and doing away with the backpack looting system.

One of the new mechanics that’s sticking around in Warzone 2 is the Interrogation system, similar to those found in games like Battlefield Hardline, Rainbow Six Siege, and Fortnite. This feature has been a popular addition to the sequel and provides vital during matches.

Here’s how Warzone 2 and DMZ‘s new Interrogation system works, and how to interrogate enemy players.

What is Warzone 2’s Interrogation system?

The Warzone 2 launch blog revealed details about the Interrogation system in Warzone 2 and DMZ, explaining that a player can interrogate a downed enemy to reveal their teammates’ locations.

Upon performing a successful interrogation in squad-based modes, the map will ping with red dots revealing the location of their remaining teammates.

You will also be able to see an outline of them like a Snapshot Grenade “for a short period of time,” as well as any “placed equipment they may have.” Once the interrogatee dies or is revived, the effect dissipates.

It’s also important to note that the player being interrogated can call for help, exposing the interrogator’s position. Teamwork will be even more essential, you’ll want to stay close to your allies to protect them from any would-be interrogators, as it can compromise the rest of your team.

To interrogate a player in Warzone 2 and DMZ, you’ll need to approach them while they’re down and press Square/X. Your character will hold a knife to their throat and pull out a device with a progress bar, so you’ll need to wait a few seconds before it can triangulate the enemies’ positions.

We’ve got a step-by-step guide on how to interrogate players below:

  1. Down a member of an enemy team.
  2. Approach them while downed and use the ‘Interact’ button.
  3. Wait a few seconds for the progress bar to fill up.
  4. The rest of their team will ping on your screen like a Snapshot Grenade.
  5. Finish off the downed player and hunt down their squad.

There you have it! That was everything you need to know about how to interrogate enemies in Warzone 2 and DMZ.
