Warzone 2 players flock to new Assault Rifle after ISO Hemlock nerf in Season 3
Warzone 2’s ISO Hemlock was the dominant Assault Rifle in the Call of Duty title’s meta, but it has now been replaced by another deadly weapon after getting nerfed in the Season 3 update.
Assault Rifles are ideal for medium-range combat engagements in Warzone 2, and the ISO Hemlock has been the most popular choice ever since it was first added to the Call of Duty title in Season 2.
However, this has changed now that the Season 3 update brought major nerfs to the ISO Hemlock’s damage and range. Now, another Assault Rifle has dethroned it as the new meta Warzone 2 weapon.
According to WZRanked, the ISO Hemlock saw a sharp decline in popularity after Season 3 went live as it now has a pick rate of just 4.1%. While it still gets more usage than the vast majority of other guns, this was a huge drop from its previous 19% pick rate.
Now, the number one spot goes to the Kastov 762 which has a pick rate of 26.3% in Warzone 2 Season 3, greatly overtaking the ISO Hemlock. This weapon boasts impressive versatility, range, and recoil control.
The reason that the ISO Hemlock was a popular pick was its superb damage output which allowed it to take out enemies extremely fast. It also had easy-to-control recoil and solid range for an Assault Rifle.
While it has lost its place as the community’s number-one weapon in Warzone 2, it remains to be seen if this will continue to be the trend or if the ISO Hemlock will make a comeback at a later point.
Warzone 2 is set to receive even more changes when the mid-season update arrives, and it’s possible that the developers may give the ISO Hemlock a few buffs. We’ll be sure to let you know if they do.
