Warzone 2 rejoin feature explained: How to rejoin matches
ActivisionWarzone 2 has a rejoin feature to reconnect to matches that you have unintentionally disconnected from. Here’s how the rejoin feature works in Warzone 2.
Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded has brought some interesting weapon and Operator additions to the battle royale, from the 9mm Daemon Pistol, Lachmann Shroud SMG, and the Pickaxe Melee to the Lara Croft and 21 Savage Operators.
Apart from the recent changes, the devs also added the rejoin feature to Warzone 2 in the previous season, allowing players to quickly reconnect to a match.
For those interested in how to rejoin matches, here’s our guide on how the rejoin feature works in Warzone 2.
Warzone 2 rejoin feature explained
The rejoin feature in Warzone 2 allows “players that experience a client crash” to reconnect to the match within four minutes of disconnecting.
This is also present in Warzone 2 Ranked Play, but you can only rejoin the same match once in Ranked Play and players can “have their ability to Rejoin temporarily limited if they repeatedly disconnect from matches” in order to prevent players from abusing the feature.
The devs shared the criteria needed for this reconnect feature to work in the Warzone 2 Season 4 patch notes:
- Players must have at least 1 Squad member remaining alive (This does not apply to Solo Playlists).
- There must be at least 5 Squads remaining in the match.
It’s also important to note that if a playlist update goes live during the match then the rejoin feature will unfortunately not work.
