Warzone 2 update brings highly requested armor change to Ashika Island
Warzone 2 players have been loving Season 2’s Ashika Island map but a few small issues have been getting in the way. The devs released a small update on February 22 that brought a highly requested Armor Plate change.
Warzone 2 Season 2 is in full swing, and players are getting used to all of the new content that’s arrived such as the new weapons and of course, the brand-new Ashika Island Resurgence map.
Resurgence allows players to respawn again and again, so it’s easy to burn through resources such as ammo and Armor Plates fast. While cash, weapons, and loadouts are in abundance on Ashika Island, players have found Armor Plates extremely tough to find. With so few plates to be found around the island, players were calling for a change immediately.
The devs brought a quick fix shortly after launch, ensuring that every player dropped an extra Armor Plate upon death, but there were still hardly any to be found as ground loot or in Supply Crates.
Aware of the complaints, Warzone 2 devs Raven Software announced the highly requested change.
“A minor Warzone 2 update has gone live to increase the number of Armor Plates found via ground loot across Ashika Island,” tweeted Raven Software on February 22.
Players were absolutely delighted with the change, and Armor Plates should now be much more abundant when fighting on Ashika Island.
This small Warzone 2 update came alongside Kill Cams being fixed in Modern Warfare 2, as well as the powerful ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle being banned from Ranked Play.
Plus, more Ashika Island Easter eggs arrived such as the secret Power Plant room that’s brimming with loot. With Al Mazrah getting map changes in Season 2, we expect to see Ashika change over the year as well.
