“Everything and everyone can be corrupted. Even those close to you… I doubt you’ve realized what she has done.” – Colonel Lev Kravchenko

As satellites are downed around the world due to Perseus’ actions, another war is just beginning in the Zombies Dark Aether story.

Following her release from Omega Group’s clutches in “Firebase Z,” Samantha Maxis aided Requiem in investigating the world’s largest Outbreak Zone to date across the Ural Mountains. After thwarting Omega’s plans for “Operatsiya Inversiya,” Requiem’s elite strike team was set to extract the group’s defecting scientists in Operation Excision… until a familiar foe uncovered their plan and installed a mole among them.

It all culminated around midnight in a previously unexplored area beyond the Phase Wall in the Ural Mountains, where the strike team arrived only to find most of the scientists brutalized with the words “NO ONE WALKS AWAY FROM OMEGA” scrawled in blood above their corpses.

This elaborate operation seemed to all be a set-up orchestrated by Omega – in the ensuing emergency exfiltration, a rocket downed Raptor-1’s helicopter, with the man personally responsible for this trap walking through the wreckage to capture the agents with his own cold-blooded hands.

His name? Colonel Lev Kravchenko, leader of the Omega Group. And in war-torn Berlin, he has one final job for Requiem’s “finest” before he ends his rivals once and for all.

Welcome to “Mauer Der Toten,” the next chapter in the Dark Aether story: an epic battle against the undead in a divided city, arriving with Season Four Reloaded in Black Ops Cold War.

The entire Season Four Reloaded content drop unfolds on July 15, following updates to Black Ops Cold War on July 13 at 9 PM PT and Warzone on July 14 at 9 PM PT. As well as a new Zombies experience, expect Warzone to receive its newest objective mode, a classic map and modes to arrive in Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer, and more Zombies content to launch alongside “Mauer Der Toten.”

Welcome to Season Four Reloaded.

Kravchenko has you captive, and the only chance at survival for you – and your strike team’s pilot – is to follow his orders.

Warzone Cold War Season 4 Reloaded roadmap

Set after the events of “Operation Excision” in Outbreak, “Mauer Der Toten” is Treyarch’s next classic round-based Zombies experience where Requiem agents, currently working for Omega Group’s Colonel Kravchenko in a bid for their freedom, will explore war-torn Berlin after a zombie invasion has overtaken the city.

Agents will navigate through the dark streets, lit only by spotlights, street lamps, and long-abandoned vehicles, to reach various key landmarks and structures, including a U-Bahn where flaming trains carry undead passengers to parts unknown. They won’t be alone, however, if they can find a way to activate a new robotic companion, Klaus, who will help them defeat the undead.

All of that, plus a new Wonder Weapon with four unique variants, fast-travel ziplines, terrifying new enemies, new quests to discover, and more secrets and surprises are coming in this massive new round-based map. Keep checking the Call of Duty Blog and Treyarch’s blog for more information as we break down this map and more Zombies tips up to the map’s Main Quest launch time of 10 AM PT on July 15.

Warzone Cold War Season 4 Reloaded roadmap

The Legend of El Burro lives on in Black Ops Cold War.

At the launch of Season Four Reloaded, the Mule Kick Perk-a-Cola will have its very own machine in “Mauer Der Toten” and also be stocked within Der Wunderfizz machines across the other round-based maps and Outbreak.

First introduced in the original Black Ops, Mule Kick allows Requiem agents to carry three weapons as opposed to the default two. It’s helpful for both lone wolves looking to carry another six-shooter (or any weapon found in traditional Zombies maps or Outbreak), and for an entire squad searching for some added versatility.

Upgrading this Perk is a sure-fire way to gain some more firepower, as there are some awesome equipment and ammo benefits available across its five Skill Tiers. Learn more about how your hard-earned Aetherium Crystals can be used to upgrade this new Perk’s Skill Tiers tomorrow in our Mule Kick breakdown blog.

Warzone Cold War Season 4 Reloaded roadmap

Get ready to create a new piece of Tactical Equipment at Crafting Tables in “Mauer Der Toten,” other round-based Zombies maps, and Outbreak regions: the LT53 Kazimir grenade.

Veterans familiar with the Gersh Device, created by Doctor Anton Gersh in another time, will know the deadly black hole-like effects of the LT53 Kazimir. Upon placement, this grenade will open to suck in any undead creatures, neutralizing them when they reach event horizon. Few know what happens to zombies once they cross the threshold, but a brave agent is more than welcome to find out by jumping into the Kazimir’s gravitational pull…

As for the Wonder Weapon, the new CRBR-S starts off as an energy-based pistol with an orbiting repeater that fires an extra shot when you fire. To upgrade it into its three additional variants, you’ll need to recover special Mod Kits that drop from zombies that will attach onto the CRBR-S to transform it into a completely different weapon.

To acquire a CRBR-S, you’ll have to explore “Mauer Der Toten” to find the hidden one via its own quest, prove yourself worthy at the Trials machines, or just get plain lucky at the Mystery Box. Good luck!

A new map means new Requiem Advancement Challenges.

By completing challenges specific to “Mauer Der Toten,” you can earn several Calling Cards for your profile and tons of bonus XP. This includes unlocking the Pack-a-Punch, travelling to every area in a single game, collecting various sets of Intel, and more.

Complete all six of the regular challenges to unlock an Animated Calling Card and even more bonus XP. Of course, Dark Ops challenge hunters will have a little something to discover with this update, too.

Zombies fans can also expect to uncover a treasure trove of new Dark Aether story Intel in “Mauer der Toten,” driving the narrative forward at a record pace. Be sure to finish your Intel collection across “Die Maschine,” “Firebase Z,” and Outbreak so you can hit the ground running on July 15.

Requiem Agents on PlayStation have a new Onslaught map to fight the undead and collect Intel on as part of Season Four Reloaded, in addition to a limited-time mode and a Legendary LMG Weapon Blueprint.

Agents will tackle zombie hordes on the classic map Rush, and can race into combat at a ridiculous pace with the “Onslaught Accelerated” mode.

Then there is the LMG Weapon Blueprint, the “Chemtaminate,” which can be unlocked by surviving 20 accelerated Surge waves and used across all Zombies and Multiplayer modes in Black Ops Cold War.

No matter how you play Zombies, Season Four is shaping up to be the biggest season of new content yet.

Veterans of the franchise and newcomers alike will feel right at home with a returning classic map and intense new game modes.

It’s paintball season.

A remastered map from Call of Duty®: Black Ops II’s Vengeance DLC pack, Rush is a small-sized 6v6 map that takes place in and around a paintball course. This chaotic arena offers multiple opportunities for up-close-and-personal combat, with narrow choke zones to scurry through and a scattering of exterior structures offering longer-range takedown possibilities.

In addition to Core and Hardcore Multiplayer public modes, Rush is also available in Private Matches for practice and to play with friends. Our suggestion? Get everyone the Tracer Pack: Big Joke III Bundle, have all Operators equip the “Double Brush” Weapon Blueprint, and set the health to its minimum for a true paintball experience inside Call of Duty®… especially if you play on a returning mode to the franchise.

Like Call of Duty, this game mode has plenty of history behind it.

An objective mode whose roots stem from the very first Call of Duty Multiplayer experience, Capture the Flag (CTF) is a competitive mode where squads must take the enemy’s flag and return it to their home base, while also defending theirs from the enemy team.

A flag will not be captured unless a team’s own flag is safe in their base, so squads must have both a good offense and defense to win the match. Also, a short respawn timer prevents any one side from throwing themselves recklessly towards the enemy base, making each life count in this fast-paced tactical brawl for supremacy.

Later in the season, Treyarch is expanding the paintball experience out of Rush and into the wider world of Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer in the new Paintball Moshpit. This new way to play MP will introduce paintball visual effects and impact sounds to the action across a selection of maps and modes. Get ready to get messy!

Also coming at mid-season launch, Treyarch will be running a dedicated Rush 24/7 playlist to give everyone a chance to enjoy the latest map non-stop, in addition to an all-new collection of Cranked modes.

If you’ve been loving Cranked Hardpoint and its original ‘80s Action Heroes incarnation, you’re going to love Cranked Moshpit, which adds Cranked Team Deathmatch and Cranked Kill Confirmed to the mix for the first time.

Following on the heels of the launch of League Play Rewards earlier in Season Four, Treyarch is introducing new Weapon Blueprints and Call of Duty League-themed Weapon Charms for competitive fans to earn in League Play, along with new Stickers, Emblems, and XP bonuses to unlock at certain win milestones.

The Prestige Shop is also getting a new batch of content to unlock using the Prestige Keys you’ve earned at every 50 Season Levels, including exclusive Weapon Blueprints in Season Four Reloaded. Hit up the Prestige Shop in the Barracks during launch week and unlock some new additions for your arsenal!

Whether you’re slaying the undead in “Mauer Der Toten,” exploring fan-favorite maps in Multiplayer, or heading to Warzone to escort or stop that Payload, you’re going to need some reinforcements:

Close-quarters Operators will have two new armaments in their arsenal during Season Four Reloaded.

OTs 9: SMG (Launch)

Full-auto submachine gun. Impressive firepower at close range with good visibility when firing. Reliable recoil control with smaller magazine size.

Sacred among CQB Operators for its ability to deal solid damage at a high fire-rate, the formerly-classified OTs 9 can be compared to the Bullfrog in terms of damage and fire rate (slightly more power and over 100 RPM more in fire rate), but with a lesser magazine capacity.

The standard 20-round magazine is enough to deal with a few Operators, especially if headshots are mixed in, but it may be worth looking at unlocking its optional 30 or 40 round attachments when playing modes with bigger squad sizes.

The OTs 9 is primed to compete with the best SMGs across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. It can either be unlocked via in-game challenge or have one of its Weapon Blueprints purchased via the Inside Job Store Bundle.

Mace: Melee (In-Season)

Rounding out this season’s weapon offerings is the Mace, the latest melee tool to join over a dozen options in Warzone, and over a half dozen blades and blunt instruments in Black Ops Cold War.

A weapon ill fit for the weak, the Mace can inflict critical damage on command — no 20-sided dice rolls are needed to determine whether it can bludgeon your rivals in a single blow within Multiplayer. And in Zombies, this weapon is perfect for getting medieval on the undead’s decomposing cadavers.

Obtain the Mace later this season either by in-game challenge, or by acquiring one of its Weapon Blueprints through the Mystic’s Scepter Store Bundle.

Weaver: NATO

Requiem needs every last agent to rescue Raptor-1 from Kravchenko, even if it means calling in strike team leader Grigori Weaver to get the job done.

Weaver will venture beyond Requiem’s classified HQ and become a playable NATO Operator across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone as part of the Tracer Pack: Weaver Operator Bundle, available in the Store at the start of Season Four Reloaded.

Raised in America after his mother fled the USSR with him in tow, CIA Clandestine Service Officer Grigori Weaver straddles both sides of the Cold War divide, losing an eye to Kravchenko during a covert mission to steal space-race secrets.

Within this bundle is his “Kremlin’s Eye” Operator Skin based on his original Black Ops incarnation, in addition to three Legendary Weapon Blueprints and a new Finishing Move, where he fools the undead into ripping an enemy limb from limb!

In addition to the two new weapons and Weaver, the Store will be fully restocked for Season Four Reloaded.

CDL Team Supporter Pack – New Player Signatures to Prepare You for Champs

The Call of Duty League Championship is almost here, and whether you’re just tuning into the action now or a lifelong fan, the Call of Duty League Team Supporter Pack is still available to allow you to rep your squad or favorite players through various Calling Cards, Emblems, and Weapon Stickers.

As part of Season Four Reloaded, this pack will receive a free in-season update with 10 new Stickers. These signature Stickers are for players who made major roster moves during the season, a few standout rookies, and one coach who broke barriers for European competitive Call of Duty during its early history.

Any new purchases of this pack will include these Stickers for free, while those who previously purchased it will automatically receive items as soon as they become available across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone

Special Ops: Pro Pack – The Pro Pack is Back in Black

Your loadouts are ready for takeoff with the new Special Ops: Pro Pack, a six-item bundle that can be purchased for USD $19.99 or your regional equivalent.

Similar to the Gilded Age III: Pro Pack, this six-item bundle contains a Legendary new skin for Portnova and two Legendary Weapon Blueprints – one based on the FARA 83 and the other built on the AK-74u – plus a Calling Card and Emblem.

That’s all in addition to 2,400 COD Points that can be put toward another Bundle, a Battle Pass purchase, or a gift to a friend, making this an incredible Store offering in terms of raw value.

More in Store for Season Four Reloaded

Think that’s all for the Store in Season Four Reloaded? We haven’t even scratched the surface. Here are just three of the dozens of Bundles to become available through the end of the season:

Tracer Pack: Firestorm Maxis Mastercraft – Maxis returns with another new Bundle, this time outfitting her in a desert-themed “Heat Seeker” skin. This Bundle also contains the “Phoenix Inferno” assault rifle Mastercraft, which has an incredible weapon inspection animation and Gold-Red Tracer Fire, as well as the “Firebrand” pistol Blueprint, also equipped with Gold-Red Tracer Fire. Both weapons come with fire elemental damage in Zombies, making this a go-to option for undead killers.

Tracer Pack: Mothership Mastercraft – Ready to send the competition into orbit? This bundle contains three new Weapon Blueprints, including the “Mothership” sniper rifle Mastercraft. Get ready to blast away with this bolt-action beast, which features Cyan Lazer Tracer Fire by default.

Magma Fury – Operator Knight seems to be heating up considerably after his mission to destroy Mount Yamantau with Wraith, and you won’t have to wait much longer to get your hands on his “Magma” Ultra-rarity Operator Skin. This fiery new look is part of the Magma Fury bundle, which also includes three Weapon Blueprints armed with Gold Tracers, Sunburst Dismemberment, and Fire Elemental Damage in Zombies, plus a badass new Finishing Move and much more.

All Operators should report to Verdansk to either escort or halt important Payloads crossing the region, taking note of any additional Red Doors they may see after this update…

Warzone has received several innovations since its launch, from in-game events like the Haunting of Verdansk to Resurgence modes, and even a bit of 50v50 rumbling.

Now, as part of Season Four Reloaded, the massive free-to-play experience introduces its newest objective based mode: Payload.

Inspired by previous traditional Call of Duty game modes like Call of Duty®: WWII’s War Mode, Payload pits two teams of 20 players against each other in a race against time for crucial intel, as these vehicles carry satellite parts that could help shift the balance of the war between Perseus and NATO.

If the attacking team escorts all vehicles across all Checkpoints within the time limit, they win the match. The defending team can not only pick attackers off the payload vehicles to slow them down, but also buy and build obstacles to stall these vehicles on the tracks.

This all happens as Operators are dropping in constantly with their own custom loadouts, searching for items across Verdansk like Cash and Killstreaks to aid their team in escorting or stopping the Payloads.

Look for Payload in the Featured Playlist Rotation as part of Season Four Reloaded.

Ahead of Season Four Reloaded, we’re here to warn you that the Warzone can, and will, turn into a Blueprint Blitz.

Similar to Double XP weekends, Raven Software is planning to activate a new special global event where Contraband Contracts automatically spawn after you complete two regular Contracts. Contraband Contracts award you with a permanent Weapon Blueprint reward if you’re able to extract it from the DZ, in addition to tons of Cash within your current match.

Blueprint Blitz should give you the opportunity to earn plenty of Weapon Blueprints from prior seasons. If you missed out or didn’t play Warzone during the time these were originally available, Contraband Contracts award you with previous Seasonal rewards after you complete the Contract.

Keep your eyes peeled in-game and on Raven’s official social media (@RavenSoftware) to see when the new Blueprint Blitz happens.

Brave Operators across Verdansk have gone through the Red Doors, stepping out into parts unknown…

Further intel suggests that these Red Doors will appear [[REDACTED]] and take you to [[REDACTED]].

As Perseus sleeper cells are still at large in Verdansk, we caution you to [[REDACTED]].

Need an automated fifth squad member in the form of a rapid-fire turret? Don’t trust a squadmate to actually watch your six? Then the Sentry Gun, the latest Killstreak to be introduced in Warzone, is readying for deployment.

Similar to how it operates in Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare®, the Sentry Gun scans in a near-180-degree radius in front of itself to seek and destroy enemies. It executes this kill pattern for at least a minute after deployment before it collapses via harmless explosion.

Find the Sentry Gun as an extremely rare Legendary item drop within a Red Door room Supply Box.

There is plenty more that will be included in Season Four Reloaded for Warzone, which Raven is set to cover in its patch notes blog. But for now, one more important update is the introduction of Battle Pass and Store Bundle Gifting feature from Black Ops Cold WarLearn more about this feature in our Battle Pass and Store Bundle Blog here.

Want to experience the wealth of content in Black Ops Cold War, but aren’t yet an owner of the game?

From July 22 to July 29, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have a Free Access period featuring various Multiplayer and Zombies experiences, including playlists around the new map Rush and the entirety of “Mauer Der Toten!” Those who play Warzone will find all their Black Ops Cold War weapons and global level progress intact within the trial, and any progress earned during the trial will carry right back over to Warzone.

More intel to come next week about the exact playlists within the Free Trial, in addition to instructions on how to download and access it across all platforms.
