Warzone devs confirm major health changes in Season 2 Reloaded
After Raven allowed players to vote for Warzone health changes via Twitter poll, they’re now moving forward with the health increase for Battle Royale modes in Season 2 Reloaded.
Warzone devs Raven Software are constantly tweaking the game to improve the overall quality of the battle royale. After raising the health in Vanguard Royale modes, Raven took to Twitter to ask players if they’d like to see a similar change impact Battle Royale modes.
The poll revealed that the majority of players would like to see health increases in Battle Royale modes. On March 21, Raven confirmed that an increase in health will officially make its way to Warzone’s BR modes with the Season 2 Reloaded update.
There’s no doubt that changing a core element like HP is going to vastly alter Warzone gameplay and feel. Since Vanguard weapons were integrated into Warzone, there have been numerous complaints of overpowered weapons with fast TTKs running rampant.
It seems that raising the HP to 150 from the original 100, is Raven’s way of balancing the game. Warzone players who enjoy Vanguard Royale will be familiar with the change as a previous increase to 150 HP succeeded in making that mode feel more enjoyable.
This major change will likely impact the weapon meta as it did when the change hit Vanguard Royale. When fully plated, players could expect a total of 300 HP which is a 50 HP increase from what BR players will be accustomed to.
After all, it’s no surprise to see these changes arrive so quickly since 72.3% of Warzone players voted in favor of the upcoming increase in health. Hopefully, this change will be met with the same positivity it created for Vanguard Royale modes.
It’s possible that these changes could also make their way to Rebirth Island in Season 3 but Raven claim that they won’t proceed with Rebirth changes until they’ve gathered enough player feedback.
