Warzone devs confirm Rebirth Island will stay after Caldera Pacific release
Rebirth Island has emerged as a fan favorite since it dropped in Warzone last year. Fans will be pleased to hear the fast-paced mode will be sticking around when Vanguard and the new Caldera Pacific map release.
As Vanguard integration edges closer, news about the changes Warzone Pacific will bring is coming thick and fast.
We now know the long-awaited Pacific map will be called Caldera, and Activision recently dropped more information about RICHOCHET Anti-Cheat.
One feature that fans will be relieved to hear is staying in Warzone is Rebirth Island, which has become a staple mode since it was released back when Black Ops Cold War was added to the game.
On October 28, Activision released a boatload of news about Vanguard integration, during which they confirmed that Rebirth Island would stay as an alternative to full-scale battle royale.
Since its release in 2020, fans have enjoyed the faster-paced gameplay found on the map, which only supports up to 40 players instead of the usual 150.
When unveiling the roadmap for Warzone Pacific, the developers wrote: “Expect the alternate, small-scale map to continue supplementing the main Warzone map.”
After also revealing that Resurgence and Mini Royales would be returning to the map, they added: “Rebirth Island is back to complement the main Warzone Pacific experience.”
It’s unclear from the news have so far if this will be the same Rebirth Island we know and love from the last year, or whether it has been tweaked as part of Warzone Pacific.
Either way, fans will be pleased knowing that Rebirth Island and Resurgence aren’t going anywhere in Warzone for the foreseeable future.
We’re expecting even more information to drop about Warzone Pacific and Rebirth Island once Call of Duty: Vanguard finally releases on November 5.
