Warzone devs respond to “Hunt for Adler” event progress not tracking
Although Warzone Season 3’s “Hunt for Adler” event is drawing to a close, many players’ challenge progress hasn’t tracked, and the devs have responded.
Warzone Season 3 fully integrated Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, bringing the two storylines together in the new map, Verdansk ’84. Following from the Season 3 teaser, Adler has been taken to Verdansk, and it’s the players’ mission to find him.
As part of the “Hunt for Adler” event, there are three challenges to complete in either Warzone or Black Ops Cold War. In Warzone, you have to complete the three Intel contracts found in Summit, Factory, and Farms. Unfortunately, for many players, progress for the Hunt for Adler event isn’t tracking.
Since Season 3 went live on April 22, several players have reported that they cannot complete the Hunt for Adler event as their progress hasn’t tracked. On top of that, sometimes the contracts spawn outside of the map, taking away any chance players have of completing the challenge.
Raven Software addressed this problem on their official Trello board of known bugs and issues. On April 23, the devs added a card for the Hunt for Adler event, confirming they are investigating issues.
The card read, “We’re investigating several issues related to this event. Players are noticing that, in some cases, Challenge completion is not tracking. Players are also finding that Intel is spawning outside of the playable map area.”
In the meantime, we recommend finishing the challenges in Black Ops Cold War. You need to complete either the Cold War or Warzone challenges, so you can skip the Warzone contracts. If you don’t own Cold War and play Warzone only, the game is available to play for free until April 28.
If you don’t have space on your hard drive for Cold War, hopefully, devs update the progress so players who have completed the challenge will have instant access to their earned rewards.
The Hunt for Adler event ends on April 28. If Raven Software give any further updates to the issue, we’ll let you know.
