Warzone devs secretly changed a Perk and nobody noticed
Players have picked up on a change to one of Warzone’s Perks that barely anyone noticed, which some are stating is due to the stale Perk meta.
With the mid-season update for Warzone Pacific Season 1, you’d think players would be focussing on the new content such as the Welgun SMG, playlist changes, and buffs and nerfs.
However, players have picked up on a change to one of Warzone’s Perks that went completely unnoticed since the Vanguard integration, which may not be a surprise to players when they find out what Perk it is.
Reddit user Cream-Shpee highlighted the Perk change over on the Warzone subreddit with the title: “The Perks meta is so stale nobody’s even noticed that Spotter got renamed.”
Spotter, now named Engineer, isn’t the most popular of Perks in Warzone, especially as the Perk 3 category is dominated by Amped and Combat Scout. This is most likely the reason players haven’t noticed the name change, or as the Redditor puts it, players didn’t notice because the “Perks meta is so stale.”
Although it isn’t a massive difference, it’s still pretty hilarious that not many players actually realized the name had been changed.
One player agrees with the Perk meta being stale, stating “I reckon you could remove 70% of the perks and no one would even notice.”
It’s a shame that some Perks hardly get picked, as most of them actually offer some interesting gameplay changes. However, it’s difficult to pick Perks that just aren’t as strong as the ones everybody else in the lobby is using.
Perhaps we will see some changes to Perks in Warzone Pacific’s future to spice up the meta.
