Warzone guru reveals secret SMG attachment “amazing” for Sniper support

Popular content creator Metaphor revealed a secret SMG attachment that makes the gun amazing for sniper support within Warzone 2 Season 5.

Warzone 2 Season 5 is well underway, and fans are becoming familiar with the significant meta changes introduced that brought a host of buffs and nerfs, as well as new weaponry like the FR Avancer, Carrack .300, and M13C.

On August 16, Raven Software made adjustments to the Chimera, enhancing its suitability for the sniper support role by boosting its mid-range damage. The weapon balancing update also improved the FR Avancer’s close to mid-range damage and maximum damage, introducing it as a possible alternative for sniper support.

CoD guru Metaphor found that the KSTV-17 barrel makes the Kastov-74u an “amazing” choice for sniper support in Warzone. Due to a previous bug, players weren’t able to use this attachment in their loadouts despite having unlocked it by reaching level 9 with the weapon.

The KSTV-17 barrel enhances both damage range and bullet velocity, two crucial attributes to focus on when utilizing an Assault Rifle in Warzone. This is particularly important since Assault Rifles cater to mid to long-range engagements.

This isn’t the YouTuber’s initial experience with the AR in Warzone 2, so he quickly recognized a distinction: “The AK-74u (Kastov-74u) is a gun I have been rocking with since the day the game came out, and I actually think it’s in a really good spot right now as a sniper support weapon.”

Although he did admit that the only downside of the weapon is “losing to SMGs at very close range, but if you are using it as a sniper support, it’s absolutely twisted.”
