Warzone meta shifting to hip fire PPSH-41 loadout after Shotgun nerf
It hasn’t taken long for a new short-range meta weapon to emerge in Call of Duty: Warzone following a much-needed nerf to the Double Barrel Shotguns. Here’s everything you need to know about the dominant PPSH-41 hip fire loadout.
Shotgun dominance is now behind us and players are beginning to experiment with new short-range weapons across Warzone Pacific. Although the Double Barrel Shotguns are still quite powerful, especially on Rebirth Island, SMGs seem to better suit Caldera’s open spaces.
The PPSH-41 had some brief time in the limelight during Warzone Pacific’s early days but the MP40 quickly took over as the SMG of choice. Now the PPSH-41 is back with a vengeance as a new hip fire loadout is tearing up Caldera.
Hip fire weapons have come and gone in Warzone Pacific but now it looks like the PPSH-41 is here to do what the AS44 couldn’t by cementing itself as a meta weapon with longevity.
Several notable Call of Duty content creators have hopped on the trend and created their own hip fire PPSH loadout including JoeWo, Destroy, and, DiazBiffle. This loadout will leave opposing players in heaps both in Caldera and Rebirth Island.

This hip fire PPSH loadout is meant to maximize speed and accuracy as you zoom across Caldera. Most of the attachments including the Pine Tar Grip, Kovalevskaya 230 B03, and Carver Foregrip will allow you to hit your targets by hip fire.
Another key element is the increase in fire rate that the Recoil Booster provides which makes the weapon deadly in tight spaces. Incendiary ammo will ensure that enemy players drop as fast as possible.
If it’s your first experience using the PPSH across Warzone Pacific you may want to note that some of the attachments will take some time to unlock. Luckily a Double XP event is hitting Vanguard and Warzone from January 14 to January 17.
