Warzone Pacific Caldera map introduces fascinating new use for Molotovs
A new promotional video for Warzone Pacific Season 1 has revealed an interesting Molotov strategy that gives the equipment a new use.
Warzone and Vanguard’s first season is almost here, with players continuing to participate in the Secrets of the Pacific event on Verdansk.
The new update will be bringing many changes to Warzone. Although some are concerned about the Loadout Drop changes, many are excited for Warzone Pacific. As well as Gas Mask buffs, it seems the Molotov equipment will be getting a new use.
There’s been a lot of promotion for Warzone Pacific, with the official launch coming on December 8 for those with early access.
Players are excited to get to grips with the brand new map, Caldera, which is sure to have loads for players to discover.
We’ve had information on all the POIs that players will see, but a new promotion video posted by charlieINTEL on Twitter showed a “postcard from Caldera,” which may have hinted at a new use for the Molotov equipment.
Molotovs on Warzone Pacific Caldera map
Molotovs have always been pretty great. Players will often use them to get enemies out of corners or even finish off downed players. They set the floor ablaze which acts as a trap for some time so that players can block paths as well.
Despite all these utilizations, Caldera may be bringing a brand new use for them. In the postcard, some information is detailed about an unknown person arriving on Caldera. They say that they have “discovered a fun trick with Molotovs: throw ’em into water and they become smoke grenades! Highly recommend”
This can’t be confirmed until the map is out, but it would make sense considering the developers have intentionally decided to include it within a promotional video for the new map.
Further, the fact that the unknown character on Caldera is highly recommending that players try this makes it even more likely.
We’re unsure how strong this strategy will be, but it’s interesting that Caldera will be offering new gameplay mechanics like this. Could there be more hidden features for players to find upon release?
