As many fans will know, Warzone’s integration with Vanguard will bring a brand new map to the battle royale, and an Activision executive has revealed the Pacific Caldera’s map layout.
As the Warzone Season 6 and Black Ops Cold War integration come to a close, players are gearing up for Call of Duty: Vanguard‘s release.
Although Verdansk has become an iconic map for the Call of Duty franchise, there’s no doubt that players are ready for the Vanguard integration, which also promises a more effective anti-cheat system.
One of Activision’s executives actually revealed the Pacific Caldera’s map layout on social media.

Activision’s Chief Creative Officer Pelle Sjoenell is the one responsible for presenting the Caldera map layout. Sjoenell posted a clear image of the map via social media, getting fans excited for Season One of Vanguard.
The map is printed on the inside of the Call of Duty: Vanguard world premier jackets. Activision gave them to Warzone content creators and big names in the community during the world premiere event on November 3.
This is a great touch by the developers at Sledgehammer Games, as it builds hype for the new map’s release, whilst also giving fans a fun sneak peek.
We’ve seen some clips of the map already, and it looks like it’s really going to shake things up. Players are used to dropping into the modern environment of Verdansk. However, Caldera looks to take Warzone in a more tropical, rural direction, giving players a new terrain to master.
First off, the Warzone Pacific map will be an island, with water surrounding the entire playable area. Verdanks is very different from Caldera as it is almost entirely landlocked.
The image shows how huge Caldera is, and also shows various named POIs:
- Naval Shipyard
- Ore Processing Docks
- Ancient Structures
- Volcano
- Phosphor Mines
- Beach Defences
- Submarine Base
- Taro Farms
- Air Port
- Fishing Village
- City Capital.
If you’re excited as we are for the new map, this image as a great early look at Pacific Caldera, which is now just around the corner.
With Vanguard releasing on November 5, we’ll be covering all the latest news and insight like the best FOV settings for Multiplayer, so stay tuned.
