Many gamers’ suspicions have been confirmed after the December 9 patch notes for Warzone Pacific Caldera acknowledged the existence of the Bloom gameplay mechanic in Warzone.

Bloom has become a hot topic for shooting games in recent years. The ‘random’ mechanic adds a layer of RnG to every shot you pull off, meaning that not all your aimed shots will land as they should.

Fortnite is really where Bloom began to take off and people sat back and took notice. Now, Bloom is making its way into multiple games, including Call of Duty: Vanguard.

There has been some discussion as to whether or not Warzone would introduce Bloom to the battle royale extravaganza, and the game’s newest update patch notes appear to confirm that it’s here.

The first round of updates to Warzone Pacific Caldera has addressed some weapon buffs and nerfs, but it’s also confirmed that Bloom will be addressed soon.

“An imminent update will further address Bloom,” which if it wasn’t already clear, establishes that Bloom already exists in the game. Lots of players aren’t a fan of Bloom as the chance to randomize the direction of your shots takes away from skill and throws it up to chance.

The information was also corroborated by Call of Duty data expert TrueGameData, who reassured players that Bloom is in Warzone.

Bloom can be reduced, however, and the devs encourage players to equip attachments that improve a weapon’s ‘Accuracy’ stat.

This lowers the likelihood of errant shots and will increase your chances of taking down opponents. Don’t expect it to be removed anytime soon, at best, the devs will tinker with it until they are satisfied with the influence it has on the gameplay.
