Warzone Pacific players furious with January 6 playlist update
Warzone players are expressing their opinions following the recent playlist update on January 6 and many are not happy.
Warzone Pacific has received a lot of backlash since its release, with players not being overly happy with the map design, and also the abundance of bugs and performance issues.
Raven Software has been hard at work trying to correct these issues, and the playlist updates provide players with a nice weekly overhaul. Having said that, the playlist update that arrived on January 6 hasn’t been taken lightly.
The January 6 Playlist update for Warzone Pacific saw the following modes become available:
- Vanguard Royale
- Solos, Duos, & Trios
- Vanguard Resurgance
- Quads
- Battle Royale
- Quads
- Plunder
- Duos
- Resurgence
- Trios
One Reddit user by the name of Nintendo_Pro_03 let the community know about the update via Reddit, which caused some interesting responses.
The issue is that the playlist update is very much tuned towards making people play the Vanguard Royale modes over the classic Battle Royale mode.
One comment under the Reddit post discussing the playlist update stated: “I understand wanting to push to vanguard modes to sell the game, but holy s*** is it frustrating to not be able to play regular BR trios, duos, or solo.”
Another also shares a similar opinion and even claims it is actually preventing them from playing with their friends: “Some of my friends don’t have vanguard and doing s*** like this is just making them not play warzone unless we have a team of 4. It’s awful.”
As many will know, the Vanguard Royale modes only allow for Vanguard weapons, equipment, and vehicles. This does limit players from using all the weapons and vehicles they have grown to love over the years playing Warzone.
Of course, players can still play the standard Battle Royale mode, but this is for Quads, preventing smaller parties from being able to play Duos, Trios, or even Solos with the standard Battle Royale rules.
Hopefully, Raven Software will listen to the community and make changes, as it seems to be affecting the community negatively. For more, check out our piece on Warzone Pacific Season 1 Reloaded.
