When is Rebirth Island coming back to Warzone?
Warzone’s ever-popular Rebirth Island map was removed with Season 4, but the devs confirmed it would make a return. Here’s when Warzone players can expect the return of Rebirth Island in Warzone.
Warzone didn’t receive a map to replace Verdansk when it integrated with Black Ops Cold War in December 2020. Instead, players were treated to Rebirth Island – a version of Blackout’s Alcatraz.
Rebirth Island quickly became a fan-favorite Warzone experience, but it was removed at the start of Warzone Pacific Season 4 to highlight the new Fortune’s Keep map. The devs have already confirmed that Rebirth Island will be returning, so here’s when to expect it back in Season 4.

Warzone Rebirth Island return date
Rebirth Island will return to Warzone on Thursday, June 30 following a Season 4 Playlist update.
Throughout Warzone Season 4, players will be able to experience Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep gameplay, but for the first week of the season Rebirth Island will not be available.
Rebirth Island Pacific changes
After Vanguard’s launch, Rebirth Island’s ground loot switched to Vanguard weapons, and that was one of the major changes introduced on December 16.
In Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, Rebirth Island underwent changes to its landscape with new POIs and altered locations from the original map. These changes have gone down well with players and have since remained.
However, it remains to be seen if Rebirth Island will display additional changes when it returns to Warzone on June 30. Later on, in Season 3 Reloaded, Rebirth Island underwent TTK changes that saw max player health increase to 300.
What happened to Rebirth Island in Warzone Pacific?
Rebirth Island was removed from Warzone during Season 4 so that the new map, Fortune’s Keep, would be front and center of the game. Although it’s important to remember that this is a temporary change.
Some players much prefer the close-quarters action of Rebirth Island, so Raven Software felt the need to not keep it out of Warzone for too long. You could also look forward to the Zombies-filled Rebirth of the Dead mode that is expected to arrive later on in Season 4.
