Warzone players are spawning in the Gulag with invisible guns

Warzone players have been left baffled and annoyed after their weapons have turned completely invisible in Caldera’s Gulag.

While Warzone’s Pacific update gave the game a much-needed breath of life, a stream of bugs and glitches have been ruining the game for many. Invisible skins, Loadouts falling through the map, and Xbox players unable to launch the game are only a few of the issues affecting Caldera.

Console players, in particular, have complained about their weapons taking a few seconds to load in. The issue keeps getting worse, as players are having to fight their Gulag with completely invisible guns.

It’s no surprise that the almost nine-year-old original Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are struggling to run the sprawling, intricately detailed Caldera. But, Warzone has almost reached the point of being unplayable thanks to performance issues and game-breaking glitches.

While not entirely new, the glitch that turns weapons invisible arrived in Caldera with a vengeance, and now it’s ruining Gulag matches for both generations of consoles.

A player shared their frustrating Gulag experience in the Warzone subreddit, sarcastically saying: “Invisible gun gulag is very cool, thank you Raven.”

In the clip, we can see their gun is completely invisible, and it’s only made worse by the crosshair disappearing when they aim down sight. Somehow, they clutch the win while the enemy has their back turned but not every player will be so lucky.

This clearly wasn’t a one-off issue, as Reddit user ‘Spixced’ said that the invisible gun glitch makes both the game and the Gulag “virtually unplayable.”

Call of Duty’s developers announced on January 13 that console performance is one of the areas they’re working on, and invisible guns will fall under this umbrella. They’ve even delayed the Season 2 update to February 14 to have more time to work on “optimizations to gameplay and game balance.”

Consoles make up a majority of Warzone’s player base, so hopefully, the developers will be able to optimize the game into a working state soon.
