Warzone players call for classic WWII weapon to receive major buff
Since Vanguard weapons made their way to Warzone Pacific, one classic WWII weapon has fallen to the wayside. Now Warzone players are calling for the old-school weapon to receive significant buffs.
The Warzone Pacific weapon meta is constantly evolving, leaving players to wonder which weapon will rise to prominence next. Of all the new Vanguard weapons players tested out, one in particular has yet to receive time in the limelight.
Unfortunately, Vanguard Marksman Rifles use Sniper ammo in Warzone and they are often overlooked as viable options. However, with proper changes, these WWII weapons can get back to firing at full force.
The M1 Garand is a weapon that is synonymous with the Call of Duty franchise as it appears in countless iterations and is undoubtedly a staple of WWII-themed titles. Unfortunately, it has failed to leave a lasting impact across Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.

Reddit user Snowbunny236 brought up the fact that the M1 Garand is in serious need of a major buff. The post suggests that using a powerful WWII weapon in a WWII era map would simply make sense.
Several players in the comments were quick to agree that the Marksman Rifle would need some significant upgrades before entering the mainstream.
The most disruptive factor holding the weapon back is the fact that it operates with Sniper ammo in Warzone Pacific. Sniper ammo is not as common as Assault Rifle ammo in Warzone, therefore running out of ammunition in key moments is far too common with the M1 Garand.
To make matters worse, the M1 Garand previously utilized AR ammo when it debuted in Verdansk prior to the launch of Warzone Pacific. “If they just changed the ammo back to AR as it originally was in Verdansk, it would be usable and not trash like right now”. Most players agree that this small change would make it a popular choice once more.
It seems that the Call of Duty community would agree that the M1 Garand is deserving of some much-needed love in Warzone Pacific’s next big update.
With the devs back from holiday break, we can expect a weapon balancing update to hit Warzone Pacific shortly. After all, it’s only natural for the M1 Garand to have some time in the spotlight throughout the current WWII CoD era.
