Warzone players are frustrated with Loadout markers that are hiding their opponents and costing wins, so they’re asking the developers to make some major HUD changes.

Warzone’s HUD is an important gameplay element that displays important information like the minimap, available ammo, and Loadout markers, ensuring that you don’t get confused during battles.

However, sometimes this mechanic can be distracting during combat situations, as players are reporting that the visual display of the HUD can sometimes hide opponents, granting them an unfair advantage.

Reddit user ‘peteoc22’ shared a screenshot from their opponent’s perspective in the CoD: Warzone subreddit. It showcased them being hidden from behind a giant Loadout marker, granting the Redditor an easy win.

They attributed this victory to a major flaw with the game’s HUD that gave them an unfair advantage. So, they suggested a simple change: “Loadout markers should only be visible when highlighted.”

Many of the commenters agreed that the Loadout marker was too big, with some labeling the way the HUD displays visual information as “obnoxious.”

One user shared their own experience with this issue: “Yeah, it’s definitely a problem. I nearly lost a win the other day because I just didn’t see the last guy. I didn’t realize why at the time, but when I looked back on my recording there was a marker from a gun on the floor in front of me that completely covered him.”

During a team game of Warzone, a lot is going on and there is a lot of information to keep up with. While HUDS can help with that, it’s clear that they can be a hindrance as well.

One commenter suggested another change: “Honestly, there is so much visual unnecessary garbage that pops up the screen. Let me turn all the visual alerts off and put them in my earpiece. If I miss out it’s on me. I just want to be able to see the battlefield.”

At the time of writing, it remains to be seen whether or not the developers will implement a major change to Warzone’s HUD. We might see some updates during or after Warzone Season 2.
