Warzone players call for one change to fix new Clash game mode
Warzone’s new Clash game mode has gone down well with the game’s community and has been hit ever since its release. Even so, fans have called for one big change to make the mode even better.
Warzone Season 5 Reloaded added in the new Clash mode, where teams of 50 battle it out to score more kills than the opponent.
And for the most part, it has been a welcome change of pace from the game’s other modes.
That’s not to say it has been without its issues. There is one particular frustration that fans say is “ruining the fun” and have called for devs to address in the future.
Reddit user WildMoustache started a thread asking for the number of snipers available in Clash to be “hard-capped,” as the sheer number of them prevents the mode from being as enjoyable as possible.
They say that due to the players opting to snipe, the vast majority of each lobby wind up camping on roofs rather than getting into fights on the ground.
The user added that the ridiculous number of snipers like the Kar98k is making using other weapon types, like LMG’s, unviable in Raven’s new playlist.
Solutions offered to make lobbies more balanced were either limiting the number of sniper rifles used at any one time or drastically cap the amount of damage they do to prevent one-hit kills.
Many other fans responded to the post, agreeing that something needs to be done to deter players from simply camping roofs with long-range rifles.
“Agree, right now the choice is either camp with a sniper or sit in/behind the building and try to frag those who do not want to camp,” said one fan. Meanwhile, another branded the mode a “sniper’s paradise.”
It remains to be seen whether or not developers will address the community’s concerns about Clash in a future patch. We’ll be sure to keep you posted with all the latest updates.
