Warzone players furious over lack of weapon balance in Season 4

Warzone players are fed up with the Season 4 meta as one weapon’s utter dominance is leading to one of the battle royale’s least diverse weapon pools in history.

One of the best and most appealing Warzone features is the multitude of weapons at your disposal. There are currently 129 Primary weapons in the game to take into battle, but not all of them are created equally.

Of course, players aren’t expecting all 129 weapons to be viable, but a diverse meta usually results in a ton of fun for players. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case in Season 4 as one weapon has pushed every option to the wayside.

NZ-41 Assault Rifle in Warzone

The NZ-41 has been the best long-range weapon in Warzone for some time now. While the devs attempted to balance the weapon with three separate nerfs, it remains Season 4’s best weapon.

While the disparity between the NZ-41 and other long-range weapons is shocking, one user posted a chart to the Warzone subreddit that reveals something way more alarming.

Not only has the NZ-41 made other long-range weapons obsolete, but it completely crushes entire weapon categories when it comes to average popularity and K/D. With fewer players opting for Snipers following the Season 3 nerfs, there’s already a natural lack of weapon diversity.

This issue is compounded by how dominant the NZ-41 has become. It’s gotten to the point where using other categories like Snipers, LMGs, and Rifles is simply out of the question if you’re looking for Warzone success.

Hopefully, a fourth consecutive NZ-41 nerf can rectify this issue and lead to a diverse weapon pool in Warzone: “There will be reality check when they finally nerf the NZ41 and people have to actually use skill to control the recoil and kill people with other ARs.”

After all, Warzone expert JGOD predicts that the meta will flourish with several viable long-range options once the NZ-41 is out of the way. On the flip side, some players were less hopeful of a solution: “Once the NZ is nerfed, another gun will be buffed to take its place.”
