Warzone players want to see the secret CX-9 SMG return in Season 4
The CX-9 SMG could initially be found in Legendary supply boxes when exploring Verdansk, but it’s been missing in Warzone for a while, and players want to see it return.
Warzone Season 4 is upon us, and there’s a ton of new additions to sort through, including operator skins, a brand-new Battle Pass to progress through, and of course, cool weapons.
However, there are still some unreleased weapons that players are want to get their hands on. Along with the powerful RAAL LMG, fans also want to see the return of the CX-9 SMG in Warzone soon.
Reddit user W33DM4573R posted in the Warzone subreddit, asking Raven Software to add the SMG to Warzone. The CX-9’s design is based on the ‘Scorpion’ weapon from other CoD titles.
This weapon’s arrival was previously teased along with the RAAL LMG and Sykov pistols. While we saw the addition of the pistols, the CX-9 SMG has yet to make its way to Warzone, much to the dismay of players.
It could initially be collected as ground loot when searching through Legendary supply boxes in Verdansk but has been absent from the game for a while with no official word from Raven Software regarding its arrival and departure from the Call of Duty battle royale.
Our Reddit user asked, “Raven, can we please have this? You added the Sykov, and we even had the CX-9 as ground loot. What happened?” Some of the commenters shared this sentiment and had high praise for the weapon.
“The CX9 was a monster,” wrote one user. “I posted a video up here the first time I got it and had a 12 kill duo win.. it just absolutely deleted people. It was like the FFAR before the nerf.”
The RAAL LMG or CX-9 SMG may be added to Modern Warfare and Warzone in a surprise update, but because they’re not Cold War weapons, we might not see them until after Season 4.
