New Warzone RPD stealth buff makes LMG insanely strong

The RPD appears to have gotten a stealth buff that supposedly makes the LMG much stronger in Warzone Season 6 than before.

Warzone Season 6 has seen many weapons come to the forefront, with the current meta including weapons like the Cold War AK-47 and the Bullfrog.

Having said that, some players have picked up on a stealth buff for the RPD‘s recoil that was introduced in Season 6, potentially making it insanely strong.

Before this stealth buff, the RPD’s recoil acted very similar to the Cold War MP5, which meant that the recoil would stabilize and no longer continue going vertically, making it fairly easy to control after firing a certain number of shots.

Players realized that this had changed for the RPD in Season 6, with some even claiming that the stealth change made the weapon even easier to control, becoming one of the best weapons to use.

In his most recent video, JGOD investigated this stealth buff for the RPD, testing out just how good it is now after the recoil change.

The RPD’s recoil now continues to go vertically at a consistent pace even after firing consecutive bullets, which JGOD says “actually makes the weapon easier to control, surprising.”

This is because weapons with consistent recoil patterns are generally easier to control compared to weapons with more sporadic patterns.

The RPD’s new recoil means that players don’t need to adjust their analog or mouse once they have the recoil pattern down, as it remains the same until the mag finishes.

This is ultimately the main reason players are finding success with this weapon after the change and calling it meta in Season 6.

However, according to the stats by JGOD, the RPD’s damage numbers are still not as great as some of the other Warzone Season 6 meta weapons, as its TTK falls below other options.

Further, JGOD personally feels as if the “rate of fire” is what prevents the RPD from being meta in Season 6.

Overall the RPD is still a good LMG in Warzone Season 6, but you may be better off using the FiNN or the RAAL if you’re looking for a better LMG option.
