Warzone Season 4 Reloaded’s best new feature removed after players get infinite Dead Silence
Warzone Season 4 Reloaded allowed players to customize their loadouts in the pre-game lobby, but this feature had to be removed after it somehow granted players unlimited Dead Silence.
Dead Silence has always been a controversial topic in Call of Duty: Warzone. It’s by far one of the most effective tools in the game, allowing you to sprint at full speed without making a sound. Players have called for it to be nerfed, but instead, Raven Software teased a Perk rebalance to counter it.
Now, however, a Warzone Season 4 Reloaded bug caused players to get infinite Dead Silence and queue into the match with their loadouts, and Raven Software were quick to act by removing one of the update’s best new features.
Although not included in the Season 4 Reloaded patch notes, players discovered that they could actually deploy into the pre-game lobby with their loadout and make changes ahead of the match. The excitement didn’t last, as Raven Software removed the feature because it was somehow granting players unlimited Dead Silence and allowed them to queue into the actual match with their loadouts.
Tweeting on July 15, the day of the Reloaded update, Raven Software announced that they “have pushed an update to remove the pre-match lobby Loadout selection.”
“Players will no longer begin a match with their Loadouts,” they explained. “This also resolves an issue with infinite Dead Silence in core BR modes.” However, they assured players that the feature will be re-enabled at a later date.

Customizing loadouts in the pre-game lobby wasn’t the only change to go under the radar – Raven has also allowed more players to use the zipline at once – making clearing out campers much easier. But the infinite Dead Silence wasn’t the only glitch either, as top Warzone YouTuber JGOD was killed by an invisible player on Rebirth Island.
