Warzone streamers claim game has too many playlists

Warzone offers a variety of different playlists for players to dive into, but streamers are actually claiming there are too many different modes, and it’s hurting their content.

In the years since its launch, Warzone has evolved into much more than a standard battle royale. In addition to solos, duos, trios, and quads in the vanilla BR, the likes of Rebirth Island and Plunder have given players some added variety to the gameplay.

Throw in LTMs and Iron Trials there’s something on offer for nearly every taste and playstyle. However, in smaller regions, splitting the player base between so many playlists appears to be making a full lobby of 150 hard to come by.

Streamers in those regions have called on Raven to make some changes in order to help them “create content.”

At the time of writing, Warzone currently has 10 different playlists when you factor in all the game modes and varying squad sizes.

In a message to the developers on Twitter, Brazilain streamer Tonyboy called for some of the playlists to be removed so that games are easier to find in less-populated areas.

“It is impossible to find matches in certain playlists because of the number of active players,” said Tony in his tweet. He claimed that he will often have to wait “10 minutes to find a match,” which is incredibly disruptive to his content.

“I really wanna play VG royale but I can’t find matches because people are scattered in all of 20 game modes available,” he continued. “It’s really hard to stream/create content when you have to wait 10 minutes in the lobby every time.”

While waiting times between matches are unavoidable in an online multiplayer game, there’s no doubt that extra-long breaks in the action make it harder for streamers to keep their audience engaged.

Wait times are rarely an issue in densely populated areas like the United States and Europe, but other regions don’t necessarily have the numbers to fill such big lobbies consistently.

Raven are yet to respond to these concerns, so we’ll have to wait and see if they shave off some playlist options in regions that are struggling.
