Warzone’s burst-fire meta is back with “insane TTK” UGM-8 loadout
Warzone expert TrueGameData has proved that Warzone’s UGM-8 has brought the burst-fire meta back with the Season 4 LMG boasting zero recoil and an “insane” time to kill.
Warzone Pacific Season 4 is here, bringing the brand-new Fortune’s Keep map and of course, new weapons. The Marco 5 quickly made waves thanks to its incredible movement speed, but it looks like the UGM-8 LMG will soon be a meta pick.
Cold War’s M16 and AUG created a burst-fire meta that dominated Verdansk, and the burst-fire meta is set to return thanks to a powerful UGM-8 loadout from Warzone stats expert TrueGameData.
TrueGameData has gone through all of the UGM-8’s attachments and discovered that it’s actually the Romault 560mm DA burst-fire barrel that creates the optimal loadout. Although its bullet velocity isn’t the greatest, landing one neck or headshot gives it an “insane” time to kill of only 623ms. Plus, it has almost no recoil, so you won’t have any trouble staying accurate.
While the UGM-8 still has a low pick rate, WZ Ranked’s stats show that those who have used it have achieved a 1.51 K/D on average and an almost 6% win rate. The only weapon with stats higher than these is the ever-popular H4 Blixen SMG.
The UGM-8 isn’t unlocked until Tier 31 of Season 4’s Battle Pass, so as more and more players start unlocking it and equipping the attachments detailed below, we can see Season 4’s LMG becoming the most popular weapon in the game — especially if the teased NZ-41 nerf arrives.

After adding the Romault 560mm DA barrel for the burst-fire mode, TrueGameData built his UGM-8 loadout to prioritize bullet velocity and accuracy.
The SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x is the meta choice for almost any Vanguard Assault Rifle or LMG, and he called it a “no-brainer” for the UGM-8. And with how little vertical recoil this LMG has, the M1930 Strife Angled grip is perfect as it helps with horizontal recoil, keeping the gun almost completely still as you shoot.
Lengthened Ammo helps with the already low bullet velocity, and the Surveil Perk gives the stat another boost, helping you take on those long-range fights across Season 4’s Caldera.
