Warzone’s STG44 is top-tier after major Season 3 buffs
Vanguard’s STG44 has always been a powerful choice in Warzone, and thanks to it receiving some major buffs in the Season 3 update, it’s quickly become one of the most powerful weapons in the game.
After months of Bren domination, the Vanguard LMG was nerfed once again at the start of Season 3. On top of this, new weapons arrived, Sniper Rifles received a major rework, and some Assault Rifles received welcome buffs.
One of these Assault Rifles was the STG44, an already powerful and popular weapon that’s just been made top-tier thanks to the major buffs it received in the Season 3 update.
The STG44 has been in Warzone’s ten most popular guns consistently since its arrival, thanks to how easy it is to use. Although it was never the best gun in the game, it quickly became top-tier after Raven Software gave it some major buffs in Warzone Season 3.
Both the STG’s barrels and magazines have received major buffs, vastly increasing the Vanguard Assault Rifle’s damage range and bullet velocity.
The VDD 320mm 05B has long been one of the best barrels you can use on the STG44, and it’s only got better with the Season 3 update. Now, the barrel’s damage range has been “increased to 35%, up from 15%,” and its bullet velocity has been “increased to 50%, up from 40%.”
Plus, if you want your STG44 to be as accurate as possible, you can also equip the now-buffed 7.62 Gorenko 50 Round Mags. While using these mags does hurt the STG’s damage slightly, they’ve had their damage range and bullet velocity penalties removed, so you’ll find them a much more effective choice in Season 3.
Thanks to these major buffs, the STG absolutely dominates at range, being more accurate, killing faster, and almost eliminating the need for you to lead your shots on far-off targets. These buffs might have come just in time, as the STG will receive a Godzilla-themed Blueprint.
Make sure you check out the best loadout for the STG44 in Warzone and don’t be surprised if you see players calling for the STG to be nerfed as Season 3 rages on, introducing Godzilla and King Kong with May 11’s Operation Monarch.
