Is 3rd person returning to Warzone 2?
Here’s everything we know about when Warzone 2’s 3rd person mode will be returning to the battle royale game.
Warzone 2’s 3rd person mode has become a fan favorite among the community, offering a nice change in perspective, but as the devs like to switch things up with playlist updates, it can often go missing.
For those wondering when they can play the Warzone 2 3rd person mode, here’s everything we know about when it will be returning, as well as updates on when it is live.
Warzone 2 3rd person mode removed
Unfortunately, those who enjoy the Warzone 2 3rd person mode will be sad to hear that it has yet again been removed after the January 11 playlist update.
The 3rd person mode launched with Warzone 2 but was removed shortly after, which caused quite a stir among the community who clearly wanted the mode to stay.
Players got their wish as the mode was then re-added to the game on December 21, 2022, so it seems the devs are aware that players would like to see this mode as often as possible.
When will Warzone 2 3rd person mode return?
Raven Software hasn’t confirmed when the 3rd person mode will return. Based on previous playlist updates, we expect the Warzone 2 3rd person mode to return in the next playlist update, which seem to drop every Thursday.
That said, Warzone 2 Season 2 is set to arrive on February 1, so there’s also a chance that it will be re-introduced around this time too, but nothing is confirmed.
It’s not clear how the devs will choose to reintroduce the 3rd person mode, whether it be Squads, Trios, Duos, or maybe even Solos, but as soon as we have more information we’ll be sure to update this piece.
Will Warzone 2 3rd person be a permanent mode?
Warzone 2’s devs have not given any official word about the possibility of the 3rd person mode becoming permanent, and it seems that this won’t be the case considering it has been removed twice now.
However, as players seem to really enjoy the mode and want it to stay permanent, it would not be a surprise to see it become permanent or at least stay in the game for longer periods of time.
That said, with leaks claiming that Resurgence arrives in Warzone 2 Season 2, who knows how that will impact the playlist schedule and return of 3rd person.
If you’re hungry for some 3rd person gameplay, players can still enjoy the perspective on Modern Warfare 2‘s multiplayer, as the 3rd Person Moshpit playlist remains intact.
