Warzone 2 is scheduled for a 2022 release, and console players are wondering if the highly-anticipated sequel will add the FOV slider that they have been asking for.

New details have begun to emerge about Warzone 2, with Infinity War confirming that the sequel will release in 2022 and Modern Warfare 2’s gameplay giving us a peek at the Warzone 2 map.

Players are eagerly awaiting more information about the new game, with many hoping that the Warzone sequel will finally add an FOV slider. However, will the developers actually add this feature in Warzone 2?

Warzone FOV slider

At the time of writing, it’s unconfirmed whether or not Warzone 2 will feature an FOV slider on consoles. Infinity Ward have yet to talk about bringing this feature to consoles when the Modern Warfare and Warzone sequels arrive.

Field of View, or FOV, is a setting that lets you adjust how much of your surroundings are visible to you. Setting your FOV high will allow you to see opponents and objects that were otherwise out of view.

The PC version of Warzone features an FOV slider that players can use to crank this setting up to 120. However, this feature has been absent in the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game, leaving players stuck at 80 FOV.

The Warzone developers previously confirmed that last-gen console versions of the game would never receive an FOV slider, so players have been hoping for one to arrive on next-gen consoles.

While the developers have not confirmed the arrival of an FOV slider in Warzone 2 yet, that doesn’t mean that we definitely won’t get one when the game arrives. We’ll know for sure if this feature will be included closer to the release date.
