Activision has announced the basic schedule planned for both the Pro Division and the Challenge Division of the Call of Duty World League.

For the Pro Division, qualifications to be part of Stage 1 will start in the first week of December. Teams will be invited to participate in the qualifications. From there, in Jan. 2016, Stage 1 will officially kick off. The year will continue with Stage 1 finals, then move to a break. After the break, Stage 2 will commence. Following Stage 2’s finish, we’ll end up with the 2016 Call of Duty Championship qualification and event. Activision is partnering with ESL for the Pro Division.

Activision has also revealed the prize pool by region for the Pro Division; there is $1.2 million prizes overall specifically for the Pro Division:

  • North America – 12 teams, $250,000
  • Europe – 10 teams, $200,000
  • Australia – 8 teams, $150,000

For the Challenge Division, throughout the year, there will be multiple LAN events and more for teams (that did not make it into Pro Division or are in a region where Pro Division is not available) to participate in. More details on the Challenge Division – including partners and prize pool – will be announced at a later date.
