Call of Duty: WWII The Blitzkrieg Event: April 17 – May 8
Activision and Sledgehammer Games have officially announced the details of the new The Blitzkrieg in-game event for Call of Duty: WWII. First details on the event dropped earlier this morning via Xbox’s website.
The Blitzkrieg event is available in-game from April 17 through May 8.
The event features the return of Ground War, the 9v9 game mode, alongside introducing Headquarters as a free, permanent map playable in Prop Hunt, Free for All, and Gun Game modes. In addition, there is an option to play Ground War (9v9) on the War Operations.
Alongside this, Captain Butcher is back as the Quartermaster with all new customization content and new weapons.
New weapons include the ITRA Burst, the Sterling, new Type 38 Sniper, and Baseball Bat. There is four new Collections right now under Blitzkrieg, but other new weapons – M2 Carbine, Type 5, and Type 38 – have collections listed under Operation Overload.
