Black Ops 6 player using LR 7.62 Sniper Rifle

The LR 7.62 has instantly become the go-to Sniper Rifle in the Black Ops 6 beta, and with the best loadout it’s an absolute beast for both sniping and quickscoping.

There’s no shortage of guns available in the beta and the meta is already starting to take shape. While the usual array of Assault Rifles and SMGs are proving strong, sniping is also a viable option thanks to their one-shot potential.

With this in mind, here’s the best LR 7.62 loadout in Black Ops 6, complete with attachments, Perks, and Equipment.

Best Black Ops 6 LR 7.62 loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: Gain-Twist Barrel
  • Underbarrel: Ranger Handguard
  • Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
  • Stock: Infiltrator Stock

Kicking off the best LR 7.62 build in Black Ops 6 is the Suppressor, which allows you to keep firing without worrying about revealing your position. This is essential while sniping, as the other team will often look to flank you if they know where you’re picking them off from.

Then, the Gain-Twist Barrel offers extra bullet velocity to make sure every shot hits its intended target, even at ridiculous ranges. If you prefer to run around the map, the Ranger Handguard comes with a ton of extra mobility that’s ideal for quickscoping.

This pairs nicely with the Quickdraw Grip, which drastically reduces the amount it takes ADS and lets you snap on top players and drop them with ease. Finally, the Infiltrator Stock buffs your overall movement speed while aiming, making it easier to strafe and avoid incoming fire.

Best Perks & Equipment for LR 7.62

  • Wildcard: Overkill
  • Perk 1: Ghost
  • Perk 2: Tracker
  • Perk 3: Vigilance
  • Lethal: Frag
  • Tactical: Flashbang
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

The best LR 7.62 loadout is nothing without Perks, and we recommend starting with the Overkill Wildcard. This lets you pair the sniper with another primary weapon to cover you at close range, like the Jackal PDW.

Then, in the first slot, Ghost should be your go-to pick, as it keeps you off the enemy’s radar and ensures that you stay hidden. We’ve paired this with Tracker to reveal the footsteps of other players, who you can then decide to go after or leave alone.

Vigilance also makes you immune to Counter UAVs, so you always know what’s going on. By equipping these Perks from the same category, you also get the Recon Combat Speciality to reveal the other team’s position through walls after each respawn, allowing you to decide exactly where to position yourself.

In terms of Equipment, the Frag is perfect for securing an easy kill, while a Flashbang can blind a player who’s pushing you while you escape or pick them off.

You should also go for the Trophy System Field Upgrade, which will destroy any explosives that try to flush you out of your sniper’s nest.

How to unlock LR 7.62 in Black Ops 6 beta

You need to reach Level 16 to get the LR 7.62 in the BO6 beta. This makes it one of the later unlocks, but you should be able to get there pretty quickly if you’re playing matches regularly and focusing on the objective.

Unfortunately, your progress doesn’t carry over to the full release, so you’ll need to grind to get hold of the sniper again come launch day.

Best LR 7.62 alternatives

If you’re not enjoying the LR 7.62, the SVD is another powerful Sniper Rifle that sacrifices a little accuracy in favor of mobility. You could also go for the XMG, an LMG that thrives at long range but is more versatile and forgiving to use.
