Best Feng 82 loadout in Black Ops 6
ActivisionThe Feng 82 is a new LMG in Black Ops 6 livening up the limited weapon class. Here are the best attachments, equipment, and Perks to help improve its performance.
Since BO6’s launch, players have had to make do with just three LMG options, namely the PU-21, the XMG, and the GPMG-7. The devs have finally introduced a new weapon to this class with the Season 2 update and it might just be the best LMG in the game.
Named the Feng 82, the weapon goes against its class’s convention due to a slow fire rate and low ammo capacity. However, it shines in almost every other aspect, making it well worth investing your time into.
On that note, here’s the best Feng 82 loadout in Black Ops 6, including the best equipment and alternatives.
Best Black Ops 6 Feng 82 loadout attachments
- Optic: Kepler Microflex
- Muzzle: Compensator
- Barrel: Gain Twist Barrel
- Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
- Magazine: Fast Mag 1
- Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
- Stock: Balanced Stock
- Fire Mods: Rapid Fire
The Optic can boil down to personal preference but the Kepler Microflex is always a great option as it comes with minimal visual noise. You could also try running no optic since the Feng 82 has a clean pair of iron sights. For the muzzle, the Compensator gets the nod as it improves vertical recoil control.
The base LMG already hits pretty hard but those damage numbers can be boosted using the Gain Twist Barrel. The Vertical Foregrip helps mitigate the recoil gains from the barrel by decreasing the horizontal recoil. Up next is the Quickdraw Grip, which further improves the weapon’s best-in-class handling. We’ve also opted for the Balanced Stock since it provides movement speed buffs while aim-walking, crouching, and strafing.
The Feng 82’s base magazine size is just 20 rounds, which might appear low at first. But the weapon can dish out a ton of damage and is capable of taking out enemies in 3-4 shots at distances of up to 50 meters. This is why we went for the Fast Mag 1 for our build, which improves the reload times. Lastly, the Rapid Fire mod addresses one of the LMG’s major drawbacks and increases the fire rate.
Best Perks, Equipment, and Wildcard for Feng 82 loadout
- Perk 1: Gung Ho
- Perk 2: Assassin
- Perk 3: Double Time
- Specialty: Enforcer
- Lethal: Frag
- Tactical: Flashbang
- Field Upgrade: Trophy System
- Wildcard: Gunfighter
Our Perk selections gel nicely with the Feng 82’s best-in-class mobility, starting with Gung Ho which lets you reload while sprinting. In the second slot, we’ve opted for Assassin which marks enemies on a Killstreak on your mini-map, while Double Time, which doubles Tac Sprint duration, takes the final slot.
Equipping these Perks will give you access to the Enforcer combat specialty, which buffs your movement and health after every kill. As for the Wildcard, Gunfighter is a must since it unlocks the extra attachments needed for this Feng 82 loadout.
Frags are a reliable pick for the Lethal equipment, allowing you to eliminate downed enemies or draw them out of fortified positions. Flashbangs are similarly dependable and let you blind enemies to catch them by surprise.

Where is the Feng 82 in BO6 meta?
The Feng 82 outperforms its LMG competitors in terms of accuracy, handling, and damage output, making it possibly the best weapon in its class. That said, the painfully slow rate of fire holds it back from becoming a serious meta contender. The low magazine capacity is another major drawback, and players are more likely to opt for a meta Assault Rifle instead.
How to unlock the Feng 82 in Black Ops 6
To get the Feng 82, you’ll need to complete Page 3 of the Season 2 Battle Pass. The weapon is free to unlock so there’s no need to purchase the premium track. If you don’t want to spend time leveling it up, grab the special weapon blueprint by reaching Page 10 of the Battle Pass.
Best alternatives
As far as LMGs go, the XMG is the best alternative to the Feng 82 thanks to a faster fire rate and better ammo capacity. If you’re willing to jump to a different class, the XM4 remains dominant in the meta.
