Big Event planned for Black Ops 2 at Gamescom (Germany) on August 15th

Many fans were shocked to hear that Call of Duty:XP would not be happening this year, but don’t worry, that won’t keep Black Ops 2 away from the public eye. Yesterday, Activision PR confirmed that they are planning “new experiences” for fans that attend Gamescom in Germany on August 15th. For those that don’t know, Gamescom is “The world’s largest trade fair and event highlight for interactive games and entertainment” and despite being a trade show, it is completely open to the public.

We’re expecting Activision to announce more in the coming weeks, and hopefully they’ll announce more events (in the U.S.) soon.. We’ll let you know once we hear anything new.

“Each year we try to surprise and delight our fans and this year we are planning to host some new experiences for our fans around the globe including at Gamescom later this summer in Cologne, Germany. While its possible we may host another XP in the future, we don’t have plans to hold the event this year.” -Activision PR
