Modern Warfare 3‘s Aftermarket Parts have been a massive part of the post-launch content for multiplayer and Warzone. They’ve kept players entertained by giving them something to grind each week, but the CoD community is split about the idea of them being in Black Ops 6.

We don’t know much about Black Ops 6’s post-launch content, but we expect the game to feature some sort of weekly challenge system similar to MW3’s. The question is whether or not BO6 will feature Aftermarket Parts, which are a core aspect of the Weekly Challenges in Modern Warfare 3.

While some are open to the idea of Aftermarket Parts in Black Ops 6, others aren’t so sure. Under X account Detonated’s post that said “Black Ops 6 needs ‘Aftermarket Parts’ like Modern Warfare 3,” the community shared their opinions.

Some agree with the post and even go as far as to say Aftermarket Parts are the “best thing about MWIII,” as it keeps them coming back to the game each week. They’ve kept me engaged over the seasons, as I’ll often find myself grinding multiplayer to get the new AMP, especially if it’s considered meta.

Others would prefer if Aftermarket Parts didn’t make their way into BO6, as they want Treyarch’s new title to have its “own unique identity.” “Let the Black Ops franchise be its own thing,” agreed another.

In a separate Reddit post, a user expressed confusion as to why people are so against Aftermarket Parts for Black Ops 6. “I honestly don’t get it,” said the user, as they feel the AMPs are “bonus content.”

A prominent argument against Aftermarket Parts being in Black Ops 6 concerns balancing, as some feel they’re either “mad OP or absolute trash,” creating a “weapon balancing nightmare.”

Due to the success of Aftermarket Parts keeping players engaged each week of every season, Black Ops 6 will likely feature some sort of Weekly Challenge reward. Once we know more about what the reward will be, we’ll be sure to let you know.

With the Call of Duty Next event coming soon, perhaps more information will be revealed, as well as details on the Warzone integration.
