Despite Black Ops 6 being set for a deep dive reveal with an event following the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, the leaks keep on coming, with one suggesting a beloved feature could return.

Given Call of Duty‘s extensive history, the franchise has seen a variety of features come and go. Some key features only appear when a certain dev team is leading the project, like Black Ops’ iconic Pick 10 loadout system.

On that note, leaker BobNetworkUK took to X to share that Black Ops 6 could potentially bring back the Theater Mode feature, beloved by the community.

Theater Mode was present for the first time in the Black Ops saga, with the first title also developed by Treyarch, and has been a staple in Black Ops installments.

The Theater Mode allows players to save gameplay, capture screenshots, and control video playback with options to fast forward, pause, slow down, or rewind. Additionally, it allows players to view their played matches from any perspective on the map, similar to the spectator mode.

The tool gained popularity for its limitless creative potential, particularly for making montages, with a special focus on Sniper clips.

Many players have been calling for the return of the Theater Mode ever since it was last included in a Call of Duty game with 2020’s Black Ops Cold War, allowing access to matches to share, create, or simply rewatch them.

Keep in mind that these are just leaks and nothing has been officially confirmed so far. We’ll be sure to let you know if any official information regarding Theater Mode in BO6 is revealed.

Meanwhile, be sure to check out how to watch the Black Ops 6 Direct event so you don’t miss anything about the next entry in the Black Ops saga.
