Black Ops 6 players convinced new movement will make lobbies sweatier than ever

After getting hands-on time at Call of Duty Next, Black Ops 6 fans are worried that omnimovement might be too much for them, as players have already figured out ways to gain an advantage with it.

Treyarch have decided to go all in on fast-paced movement for Black Ops 6, as omnimovement allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in all directions.

On top of that, there’s also a stronger emphasis on smaller maps, as well as the new dedicated melee slot that allows you to gain infinite Tac Sprint, showing just how fast-paced they want the game to play.

This movement-focused design philosophy is music to the ears of sweaty players, but for those who prefer a more casual experience, it’s already sparking fear.

Across social media, players are reacting to a clip from CoD Next that saw pro player Cellium killed by streamer Ryda who executed an incredible evasive maneuver thanks to omnimovement.

In the clip, Ryda slides forward before quickly jumping backward, completely throwing off Cellium’s tracking. The movement wasn’t natural, as it looked like the character model was still mid-slide when they jumped back.

The maneuver left Cellium “mindblown,” while reporter Jake Lucky posted the clip and said “NAH IM TOO OLD FOR THIS.” Even pro player Scump shared a shocked reaction after watching the clip, belting a “WHOA” as soon as it happened.

There’s a chance that movement like this will make lobbies sweatier than ever in Black Ops 6. Under Jake Lucky’s X post that said omnimovement will either “make or break CoD,” one comment replied, “Lower tier players aren’t going to enjoy this.” Another agreed, “This looks like a sweat lord’s playground.”

Cellium also discovered that ‘Snaking‘ is back in Black Ops 6, a movement technique in which you rapidly switch from standing to crouch/prone to peak angles.

Snaking was nerfed in MW3 as it was deemed too powerful, but as you can see from the clip above, it looks like it could be returning for Black Ops 6.

While using the movement tech at CoD Next, Cellium said, it’s “kinda OP not gonna lie,” as he was able to secure a kill while snaking to stay covered.

Keep in mind that this is only the beta build of Black Ops 6, and many things could change before its release on October 25. That said, omnimovement is here to stay and it’s arriving in Warzone too, which means we could be seeing an increase in the skill gap there too.
