Black Ops 6 Zombies Augments explained
Black Ops 6 Zombies returns to the beloved round-based format while bringing plenty of new mechanics including Augments.
This new upgrade system provides another layer of gameplay customization, on top of Perks, Gobbelgums, and Ammo Mods, but as they’ve never been seen before in Zombies, you’ll want to know how they work.

What are Augments in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Augments are a new loadout mechanic that customizes your Perks, Ammo Mods, and Field Upgrades with various gameplay modifiers.
These Augments are split into two categories: Major and Minor. There are three Major and three Minor Augments for you to unlock for every Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade. You can select one Major and one Minor Augment per Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade.

- Major Augments offer substantial advantages to the item’s behavior
They have been designed to give players variety and build flexibility, so you can create a loadout that works for your playstyle and the Perks, Ammo Mods, and field Upgrades you like the most.

In the CoD blog, the devs shared a few examples of Minor and Major Augments for Field Upgrades, Perks, and Ammo Mods:

How to get more Augments in Zombies
Each Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade has a research path that you can access in the pre-game menu. Getting through these paths will unlock new Minor and Major Augments for items.
You can unlock more Augments in Black Ops 6 by simply playing Zombies. Jump into Terminus or Liberty Falls and start racking up kills and progressing through rounds to discover new Augments that suit your playstyle.
While doing so, you’ll be progressing through ranks in a classic prestige system for the undead mode. If you’re a solo player, you’re in luck, as there’s even a save and quit feature you can take advantage of, allowing you to continue unlocking Augments after a break.
