What are GobbleGums in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
ActivisionRound-based Zombies returns in Black Ops 6 along with Gobblegums, a controversial feature that sees players consuming ability-inducing candy.
These were first introduced back in Black Ops 3, but they haven’t been seen since so many may not be familiar with the mechanic.
Here’s everything you need to know about GobbleGums, including how to get them.
GobbleGums explained
GobbleGums are candy that you can consume in Zombies for unique abilities. You can equip a set of five in your loadout before diving into a match.
After you interact with a Mr. Peeks GobbleGum Machine, you’ll get one of the five you have selected at random. The machine will then be on a cooldown until you can get more. You can store up to three unique gums on you, and you can select which one you want to pop the same way you would select Scorestreaks in multiplayer.
These items are single-use, so once you use a GobbleGum, it’s gone from your inventory, but you can always get more. Decide when to pop them, as you can use all three at once if you wish.
You can create multiple GobbleGum packs of five, and if you’re not happy with your selection of gums, you can switch packs at any time in the menu.

In Black Ops 6, GobbleGums are divided into color-coded rarities and there are three types you can get – Instant, Timed, and Conditional.
How to unlock more GobbleGums in Black Ops 6 Zombies
You can unlock more GobbleGums to widen your selection by simply playing Zombies and getting through rounds. Players can expect to earn random GobbleGums every few rounds and will be notified via a HUD notification.
If you purchase the Vault Edition of Black Ops 6 you’ll also receive a GobbleGum Pack, which will give you a boost when you drop into either Terminus or Liberty Falls on day one.
Are GobbleGums microtransactions in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
No, you can only get GobbelGums by progressing through rounds of Zombies. GobbleGums have previously been a controversial feature in Zombies as players could get them through microtransactions in Black Ops 3.
Many described GobbleGums as pay-to-win, as players would purchase drops and combine lower rarity ones to get Perkaholic and other Legendary gums. The GobbleGum system in BO3 was compared with gambling too, as players could use real money to buy luck-based spins in the hopes of getting something rare.
However, it seems like the devs will not be going down that route for Black Ops 6, as players will be able to earn all rarities just by playing the game.
