Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 now available on Xbox One Backwards Compatibility
It’s finally happening!! Microsoft has announced that starting today, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be available on Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, allowing fans to play the title again on Xbox One.
For those that already own either a disc version or digital version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on Xbox 360, you can now play Black Ops 2 on Xbox One. If you own the disc, insert the disc in the Xbox One tray. If you owned it digitally, visit the Xbox One Store now on Xbox One to download the title.
With backwards compatibility, all Black Ops 2 DLCs are also available to play on Xbox One. Black Ops 2 featured four DLC Map Packs, alongside many micro DLC items, all of which can be used in the backwards compatibility. You must own the content in order to play it.
In addition, since the servers are the same Xbox 360 servers, your stats will be exactly as before. If you were banned on Black Ops 2, you will not be able to play it now.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 joins Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 on Xbox One’s backwards compatibility program. No information on any other Call of Duty titles coming to this program has been announced.
