Call of Duty: Ghosts Current-Gen to Next-Gen Upgrade Details revealed

Activision has officially revealed how upgrading from current gen to next gen will work for Ghosts.

Xbox Next Gen Upgrade Offers

Introducing the Xbox Game Ahead Program

Gamers can purchase a disc-less dual-license digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts at participating retailers for a suggested retail price of $69.99. This version will include the Xbox 360 digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts, as well as the Xbox One digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts – linked and unlocked via a user’s Xbox Live gamertag. Look for more information on how to pre-order at participating retailers in the coming weeks.

Via the Game Ahead Program, players can also purchase a digital version of Call of Duty: Ghosts directly from the Xbox Live Marketplace for a suggested retail price of $59.99. And, when ready to upgrade to Xbox One, you can purchase a digital Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts for a suggested retail price of just $10 on the Xbox Live Marketplace until March 31, 2014.

Then, when ready to upgrade, players can exchange their Xbox 360 copy of the game for a minimum value of $40, which combined with the $10 coupon will allow them to get the Xbox One version for $9.99. PlayStation® Next Gen Upgrade Offers

Upgrade on PlayStation for just $10

The PlayStation upgrade program is completely optional for our fans, and applies whether you buy a new PS3 disc, or buy the game digitally from the PSN Store for PS3.

For a limited time, every new physical copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts for PS3 will include a flyer with a unique Sony code on it. Redeem the code packed into the PlayStation 3 version of the game on the PlayStation Store and download the PlayStation 4 version of the game for a suggested retail price of $10, €10 or £10 depending on territory.

Alternatively, if you buy the digital PS3 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts from the PSN Store, you will also be given the opportunity to upgrade to the PS4 version. Simply go to the PSN store and purchase the discounted PS4 version for a suggested retail price of $10, €10 or £10 depending on territory. You will then be able to enjoy the PS3 version on your PS3, and the PS4 version on you PS4.

Activision has also confirmed that for your stats, you can only transfer between a conosle family using a Call of Duty ELITE account, which is free.

And, your season pass also transfers between the same console family at no additional cost.

Priced at a suggested retail price of $49.99, £34.99, or €49.99, the Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass will upgrade to next-gen (from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and from PS3 to PS4) at no additional cost. Offer is valid until May 31st, 2014

The Call of Duty: Ghosts Season Pass is now available for pre-order on the Xbox Live Marketplace, PlayStation Store and at participating PC digital download retailers. The Season Pass includes access to four Call of Duty: Ghosts DLC Map Packs, each delivering a collection of fresh Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer content and more. Gamers who purchase the Season Pass will also receive the Team Leader digital content pack that includes a unique multiplayer character head, weapon camo, reticle, player patch, player card and player background.

Activision is also confirming that the Digital Hardened Edition is coming to PS3, PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Nothing about Xbox 360 discussed yet.

In addition, we are also excited to announce the full slate of Call of Duty: Ghosts digital versions across multiple gaming platforms – an array of compelling options from which gamers can choose.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will be available for digital download on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and PC on November 5, 2013. Pre-orders are available now on the PlayStation Store and participating PC digital download retailers.

The game will also be available for download on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 when those consoles launch later this year. All digital versions of the Call of Duty: Ghosts base game will have a suggested retail price of $59.99, £59.99, or €69.99.

Also available for purchase is the Call of Duty: Ghosts Digital Hardened Edition. The Digital Hardened Edition gives players an assortment of bonus digital content in addition to the digital download of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
