Industry insider Tom Henderson has revealed a report that claims Call of Duty 2025 will feature remastered Black Ops 2 maps, classic round-based Zombies, and the pick 10 system.

The Call of Duty franchise is known for its annual releases, and it seems like that tradition is sticking around following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision. Modern Warfare 3 is still in Season 1 of its cycle, but players already received news of CoD 2024 and the potential return of the classic Verdansk map.

Now, another report from Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson has looked even further down the line to Call of Duty 2025. According to Henderson, CoD 2025 will be set in the near future as a Black Ops 2 sequel and shake things up by including some new features, mixed with classics that players have been calling to return.

For starters, it seems that CoD 2025’s multiplayer will feature a mix of new maps as well as a selection of remastered Black Ops 2 maps: “the current plan now is to launch with new maps and remastered maps in conjunction.”

Fans will be hoping that classic maps like Raid, Slums, and Standoff make their way to the game.

In addition, Henderson also mentioned several features that players have been calling to return, like the iconic pick 10. The report claims that players can expect CoD 2025 to deliver an “overhaul to its movement system, the return of a classic ‘pick 10’ create-a-class, the gunfight game mode, and another year of round-based zombies.”

Following the above quote, the next bit of major info that Henderson revealed is that a round-based Zombies mode is set to feature in CoD 2025.

While this classic Zombies experience has been absent for quite some time, it’s rumored to be present in CoD 2024. This means that CoD Zombies fans could receive back-to-back titles with the round-based Zombies experience.

Call of Duty fans may not have expected to receive news related to CoD 2025 so soon, but we’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all the latest developments.
