What to expect at CoD Next – Multiplayer, Zombies & Warzone
CoD Next 2024 will be the first official in-depth look at Black Ops 6 multiplayer, where you’ll be able to see the new maps, weapons, and features like omnimovement ahead of the beta.
While we’ve already had a glimpse, this will be where Treyarch show off MP in more detail, complete with new trailers and gameplay.
The event will also include even more Zombies following the major intel drop on August 8. While the Terminus map has been revealed, you can look forward to an in-depth look at Liberty Falls during the event.
It’s also been confirmed that we’ll get more details on the next chapter of Warzone, including live gameplay of the new Area 99 map. The battle royale always integrates with the latest multiplayer release, so expect Treyarch to explain how BO6 will influence the game going forward.
Not much is known about the Area 99 map so far, but it’s expected to be a brand-new Resurgence map developed by Treyarch.
We know that Warzone will continue to feature weapons and skins from MW2 and MW3 while incorporating content from Black Ops 6 including the new omnidirectional movement features. But, expect to learn about any new features exclusive to Warzone, perhaps even what the big map will be for this new era. We’re still waiting on Urzikstan Ranked Play, after all.
According to leaks, the iconic Verdansk will replace Urzikstan as the main BR map once again. If this is true, CoD Next might offer a look at the returning map and how it’s been updated to work with the new features added over the years. However, this has not been confirmed yet, and leaks suggest we might not see it until Black Ops 6 Season 2 at the earliest.
With Area 99 looking to be the focus of the Warzone portion of the broadcast, it’s not likely that players will get a look at the new big map coming with Black Ops 6’s cycle.
While waiting for more details at CoD Next, make sure you’re up to speed on whether your content will carry over to BO6 from MW3 and how you can play the beta early by pre-ordering a copy of the game.
