Community Manager Josh Olin (JD_2020) says Goodbye to Treyarch
Treyarch’s Community Manager, Josh Olin (@JD_2020) shocked the Call of Duty Community today when he announced that today will be his last day with Treyarch.
In case you’ve been living under a rock (or just a new Call of Duty Fan), Josh Olin handled media relations for Treyarch’s Call of Duty Titles including Black Ops and World at War. Some of you may not know, but after Josh started blogging, Olin created a Call of Duty fan site (CoDHQ.com) which gained the attention of Treyarch, who were looking for a Community Manager during the development of Call of Duty: World at War in January 2008, and the rest is history.
Having known Josh, I can honestly say he is one of the brightest people I have ever met and his passion for the Call of Duty franchise is unrivaled. We had some intense discussions regarding Call of Duty, Guns and “BMT’s” 😉 . And it turns out we both share a passion for firearms, something I learned after we met.
Lots of speculation over why he left Treyarch and what his next project might be. All we know is that whatever it turns out to be, Josh will find a way to succeed and do ..
