Do MW2 & Warzone Double XP tokens carry over to Modern Warfare 3?

Double XP tokens will allow you to get a huge headstart in Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer, especially when it comes to leveling up your guns. So, are your tokens from Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 available to use in MW3? Here’s all you need to know.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, like most new titles in the franchise, brings a ton of weapons to unlock and level up, and if you’re aiming to rank up as fast as possible, then Double XP tokens will come in handy.

However, many in the community are concerned about the Double XP tokens transferring from one CoD title to another. The Double XP tokens you earned in Vanguard’s multiplayer didn’t carry forward to Modern Warfare 2, leading to frustration among players who grinded to earn them.

Considering that Modern Warfare 3 has the ‘carry forward’ feature which transfers all of MW2’s weapons, Operators, camos, and more to MW3’s multiplayer for the first time ever, do all of your Double XP tokens also carry over to the latest title? Here’s everything you need to know.

Can I use MW2 & Warzone Double XP tokens in Modern Warfare 3?

Yes, all of your Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone Double XP tokens will be useable in Modern Warfare 3. The devs confirmed this in a call with creators back in August 2023.

Unless there’s something you desperately want to unlock in MW2, you’re probably better saving up all of your Double XP tokens to get a huge headstart when Modern Warfare 3 arrives.

You can use the Double XP tokens to unlock all of the new weapons, and then use Double Weapon XP tokens to level up the weapons fast, unlocking all of the attachments and camos before Warzone’s Urzikstan map arrives in December.

If you’re looking to get as many Double XP tokens as possible, then you can earn them through the Season 6 Battle Pass, daily login rewards, and various events in the game.
