Emblem Editor and Paintshop are available in Black Ops 4 on Day 1
The Emblem Editor and Paintshop features in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 are available to use on Day 1, allowing fans to customize their own emblems to use in MP, and create their own weapon camos in the paintshop.
Emblem Editor was first introduced in Black Ops 2, allowing players an additional amount of customization over their overall player identity in Call of Duty titles. The Emblem Editor has been in Call of Duty games since then, but the previous two years, the feature did not go live in game till months after launch. Black Ops 4 is the first time this feature is active on Day 1 since Black Ops 3 in 2015. There’s also a default set of emblems available to use in the Editor.
Alongside the Emblem stuff, the PaintShop is also available to use on Day 1 in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Treyarch first introduced this customization feature back in 2015 in Black Ops 3 allowing players to create weapon camos to go on all sides of the weapon. Players are able to create different paint shops per each weapon in Black Ops 4, and the customization controls are very similar to previous Call of Duty games.
