Warzone’s expansive arsenal of weapons was hit with a ton of changes in the Season 2 Reloaded update, and CoD pro FaZe Swagg has claimed that a fan-favorite LMG is absolutely “insane” after being handed a major buff.

The Warzone Season 2 Reloaded update shook up the meta in a number of interesting ways. Not only did the new SOA Subverter and Soulrender weapons arrive, but the existing lineup of guns also received a host of balancing changes.

While some were hit with severe nerfs to make them less dominant, like the RAM-7 and BP50 Assault Rifles, others were handed big improvements to make them more competitive.

Since the update went live, Warzone expert FaZe Swagg believes that a popular LMG from the Verdansk days now has what it takes to become “the next meta.”

In his March 6 video, Swagg highlighted the Bruen Mk9, which received a major buff in Season 2 Reloaded. It saw its mobility improve across the board, along with a slight enhancement to its damage output.

While all of the changes seem fairly small on their own, the YouTuber claimed it’s almost “cheating” when they’re all added together, as the LMG has “zero recoil.”

Swagg also shared his ideal setup for the Bruen Mk9 in Warzone following the buff, which you can check out below.

Swagg’s best Bruen Mk9 loadout in Warzone Season 2 Reloaded

  • Barrel: 23″ XRK Horizon V2
  • Muzzle: Casus Brake
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Optic: JAK Glassless Optic

Swagg’s best Bruen Mk9 loadout in Warzone focuses on reducing the LMG’s recoil to make it laser-accurate at long range. He achieves this with the 23″ XRK Horizon V2, Casus Brake, and Bruen Heavy Support Grip, which all keep it on target while offering range and velocity buffs.

However, the star of the show is the JAK Glassless Optic, which all but eliminates visual recoil and makes it extremely easy to land shots at any distance. Finally, he felt that the mobility of the 60 Rounds Mags more than made up for the smaller ammo capacity.

The Warzone meta is still settling down after all the buffs and nerfs in the midseason update, but don’t be surprised to see the Bruen Mk9 dominating Urzikstan in the coming weeks.
