Forgotten Warzone Sniper is perfect replacement for nerfed Kar98k
ActivisionThe Kar98k saw some big nerfs in Season 4 Reloaded, and while players are continuing to use it, there’s a perfect replacement you might have forgotten about.
The MCPR-300 Sniper from MW2 is a one-shot kill in Warzone, and it can be built for more mobility and speed to compete with the Kar98k.
Attachments like the Forge Tac Delta 4 Optic and SL Razorhawk Laser Light will improve the Sniper‘s mobility and allow you to get quick shots off at medium ranges, just like you’d use the Kar98k.
When using the Sniper, I found it surprisingly easy to use and run around with, pulling it out to hit shots from medium range. The downside is that it’s an MW2 weapon, and so it isn’t quite as smooth when it comes to ADS.
Despite the scope making it harder to hit those long-range shots that the Heavy Sniper is known for, I still managed to do so on many occasions, I just had to take my time and make sure I hit a headshot.
Even popular Warzone YouTuber and streamer Metaphor has highlighted just how good the MCPR-300 can be as a Kar98k replacement in his July 18 video.
He showcases many clips of him quickscoping and getting kills from close range with it, just as you would with the iconic Marksman Rifle.
You’ll definitely want a more close-range option to pair with the MCPR-300, as hitting a shot to crack shields and switching to an SMG makes for quick kills. Metaphor opts for the Superi 46, but the Striker and FJX Horus are great picks too.
Season 5 is set to introduce a new SMG to the game called the Static-HV, so perhaps that will take over Warzone and become the best option to pair with a Sniper once the update releases on July 24.
